wedding dog handler on the gold coast

Fuzzy Buddy is a wedding dog handling service that looks after your dog at Gold Coast and Gold Coast hinterland weddings. We're based just over the border in the Northern Rivers and have been caring for dogs at weddings since 2022. Your dog gets a dedicated, police checked and pet first aid qualified handler for the whole day.

What we do on your wedding day

  • Transport – we collect your dog from home, bring them to the venue and take them home again.
  • Dressing – bows, flower collars or ring pouches fitted before the ceremony.
  • Ceremony roles – ring bearer, dog of honour, flower dog or a surprise guest walk.
  • Photos – we hold the lead just out of frame and step out for dog-only shots.
  • Cocktail hour cameo – a short appearance with your guests if you'd like.
  • Overnight care – add our overnight package and pick up your dog the next morning.

Dog-friendly wedding venues on the Gold Coast and hinterland

These venues are listed as dog-friendly in wedding directories or on the venues' own sites:

  • Glenrock Farm, Carrara – 22 acres of rural farmland less than 10km from the beach.
  • The Gold Coast Farm House, Numinbah Valley – a hinterland venue with lakeside ceremony spots.
  • Cowbell Creek, Austinville – 200 acres of hills, creeks and lookouts about 25 minutes from the coast.
  • The Valley Estate, Currumbin Valley – a hinterland retreat in the Currumbin Valley.
  • Bower Estate – a private rainforest estate in the Gold Coast hinterland.
  • Rosewood Estate, Beechmont – a chapel or garden ceremony with a barn reception.

Pet policies change and often depend on the space, so always confirm with your venue. If your venue is unsure about having a dog at your wedding, we're happy to speak with them directly.

Dog-friendly beaches for ceremonies and photos

The Spit is the Gold Coast's best-known dog-friendly beach and is popular for photos. Dog rules vary between beaches, so check the current council signage for your chosen spot.

Common questions

Do you travel to Gold Coast weddings from NSW?

Yes. The Gold Coast is just across the border from our Northern Rivers base. Any travel fee depends on your venue and is always included in your quote.

What if our dog gets nervous around crowds?

We always start with a meet and greet. If a full day isn't right for your dog, we'll suggest a short ceremony cameo instead. Their comfort comes before the photos.

How early should we book?

As early as you can. We take a limited number of weddings each weekend, and 2026 and 2027 dates are open now.
